Maintenance Mechanic

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Mechanic on behalf of our client in Vaughan.

Summary:        Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all manufacturing machinery and supporting                        services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts regular checks and inspections on production lines and machinery to identify problem areas and ensure efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs machine problems as required.
  • Re-builds and installs machinery as required.
  • Makes and fabricates spare parts through use of lathe, milling machine, drilling press, grinding and weld machines.
  • Ensure replacement parts comply with manufacturer specifications.
  • Conducts machine set up.
  • Uses proper Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures at all times.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures and safety standards.
  • Understand and comply with all Company Safety Rules and processes.
  • Understand and comply with all HACCP and GMP policies
  • Maintains good housekeeping in work area.
  • Completes all required documentation and paper work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High school education
  • Industrial Millwright or electrician licence preferred
  • 5-10 years related work experience
  • Excellent communication and team skills.

Salary/Hourly Rate:  
$22.00-$25.00/hourly depending on experience
